JOB SUMMARY

This position supports and assists the People Development function, including conducting time and payroll processing, as well as onboarding of new employees. This position also initiates, creates, coordinates, and administers employee training.  This position establishes, develops, and sustains relationships through communication, leadership and activities with employees.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
May include any and/or all of the following:

    1. Maintain Payroll system, setting up new employees, approving and updating requested changes to pay, benefits, benefit accruals, as well as monitoring automatic updates processing from the HRIS system.
    2. Maintain Time and Attendance system, approving and updating requested changes as necessary.  Process timecards for each payroll, monitoring for accuracy of input, as well as balancing hours for payroll.
    3. Assist employees and managers with questions regarding payroll and TLM systems and policies.
    4. Prepare, balance and transmit payroll from payroll documentation submitted for updates.
    5. Serve as a member of the NEO training team, conducting portions of the New Employee Orientation (NEO) and Expanded NEO onboarding efforts as the payroll specialist.
    6. Coordinate the BalancedComp Payroll system with the ADP Payroll system, ensuring accuracy of information from the HRIS payroll system to the BalancedComp system, providing reporting and analysis as needed. 
    7. Serve as the data analyst related to People Development related statistics, working with the ADP Analytics Cloud system as well as gathering other pertinent information within the department to prepare monthly reports.
    8. Prepare annual merit increase and ICP spreadsheets utilizing ADP and the BalancedComp systems as well as Microsoft Excel, as well as providing analysis as needed.
    9. Create external written communications to aide in the recruitment process for both formal as well as more conversational advertisements.  Create internal employee communications to share pertinent employee information on the intranet. 
    10. Support the People Development area with general staffing coverage.
    11. Access to ePHI may be required to complete job duties for this role. It will be accessed only as needed and within the HIPAA Compliance rules. Training will be provided on a yearly basis to ensure the employee is up to date with HIPAA Regulations.
    12. Working closely with managers, design, implement and conduct customized training programs for all retail staff including tellers, member consultants and contact center.
    13. Serve as a member of the new employee orientation team in order to fully immerse new employees in the culture of Truity through NEO and Expanded NEO.
    14. Design, implement, and conduct customized training programs for both retail and support staff, including but not limited to non-position specific training ie Microsoft Products,  Communication, Lunch and Learns, etc.
    15. Support the People Development area with general staffing coverage.
    16. Research, recommend, supply and update resources for employee growth and development through various sources including the employee intranet.
    17. Serve on various project teams and crews as needed to help with training coordination on organizational changes and/or as member at large.
    18. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

      • Modern office equipment and ten-key
      • ADP, payroll program, at an expert level
      • Payroll and benefits industry trends
      • Technology and various software programs including ADP, Microsoft Power Point at an advanced level, Excel at an advanced to expert level and Word, Org Plus
      • Tax law changes, garnishments, etc

QUALIFICATIONS
Critical Development Experiences:

Pursue opportunities for professional growth and development through training, education and self-study

Successfully complete all applicable compliance training and testing

Education and experience equivalent to:

One to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience

Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

REQUIREMENTS

Regular attendance and timeliness are essential functions of this position.  While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for a significant period of time and perform functions that require manual dexterity.  The employee must occasionally reach above or below normal body position, stoop or bend, and carry, lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.  A normal range of hearing, vision, and speech are required to effectively work with co-employees and members.
