Founded in June of 2012, the mission of Coinbase is to create an open financial system for the world. We've created the leading platform for consumers and businesses to exchange digital currency. The company has raised $106M to date from notable investors such as Andreessen Horowitz and Union Square Ventures, as well as from financial institutions such as USAA and NYSE. Coinbase serves customers in 32 countries, and was the first digital currency company to proactively work with regulators around the world to obtain licenses.
