Company History
Urban Partnership Bank is an FDIC-insured, full-service community development bank that was chartered in August of 2010. It has $1.3 billion assets and a singular focus: To build vibrant urban neighborhoods and to promote economic and environmental sustainability in urban neighborhoods of Chicago, IL, Cleveland, OH, and Detroit, MI.
Urban Partnership Bank was created when a group of socially responsible individuals, financial institutions and foundations who understand the need for urban communities to have quality banking services stepped in to fill a banking void. They secured a charter and created a new institution that serves urban customers and its communities.
Urban Partnership Bank is founded on a shared commitment to focus on sustainable growth and success. The bank is led by a team of experienced financial services professionals with roots in the community. They are installing new systems and processes and putting a renewed focus on partnering with key stakeholders to transform underserved and distressed urban neighborhoods.
The bank helps individuals build better lives and small businesses grow and flourish. It seeks to create good paying jobs, strengthen nonprofits and faith-based organizations, and renovate neglected real estate. Its core vision is to build communities where more people want to live, work and do business in an economically and environmentally sustainable manner.
The mission of serving underserved and distressed urban neighborhoods proudly is embodied at Urban Partnership Bank
